— 16th Century — Blue Florentine Gown January 20, 2009 The question is, what should I line the overgown with? I was thinking silver but this far have yet to find anything that isn’t too shiny. TweetFacebookLinkedInTumblrStumbleDiggDelicious
Why not a plainer grey nuance, and not “silver”-silver? Or… this is radical, I know, but… black? Or fur lined, like this! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v31/operafantomet/renaissanceportraits/firenze3/florschool1570s3.jpg Rust red could also give a cool effect, but it might limit the “useability” a tad? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v31/operafantomet/renaissanceportraits/firenze3/allori1580-90c.jpg
Before I even saw you say silver, I thought, “Silver!”. Can you find a more toned-down grey? Either way, it’s looking smashing, Baby!

I love the color and fabric!
As for lining…maye a silver dupinoi silk woudn’t be too shiney?

oh, my! want! Personally, I’d like it in something other than silver — like *teal* or *red* …..
